Press Release: Karpinski Engineering Promotes First Principal in Akron-Canton Office

Jul 25, 2016

Jeremy Bowers, PE, has been promoted to principal at Karpinski Engineering (KE).

He is the first principal based in the firm’s Akron-Canton office, where he leads a close-knit, energetic team. They describe him as “dedicated to the success of others,” “selfless,” and “a great mentor.”

“Jeremy has earned this partnership,” said KE President Jim Cicero, PE, LEED AP. “Over the past few years, he has taken on the responsibilities of a principal. This promotion recognizes his success, and it demonstrates our confidence in his ability to contribute to the firm at a strategic level.”

At KE, principals are responsible for strategic vision, business development, operations, financial well-being, and general management.

As Director of Akron-Canton Operations, Jeremy connects with clients, manages projects, and provides design leadership. His office produces projects ranging from healthcare, to higher education, to K-12 education, to commercial markets. He has cultivated a solid client base, advancing KE’s reputation in the region.

Now, Jeremy takes on a firm-wide leadership role, sharing his strengths with the company as a whole.

“Jeremy is solid technically, a good mentor, and a good service leader for our clients. He embodies the best of Karpinski Engineering’s culture,” said Principal Ken Borah, PE.

Jeremy joined Karpinski Engineering in 2000 after earning his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Grove City College. He started the Akron-Canton office in 2006, and he was promoted to associate in 2013.

Today, Jeremy represents the third generation of KE leadership.

“With each new generation of ownership comes a different energy and vision,” said Jim Cicero. “We look forward to the ways that Jeremy will help shape the firm going forward.”
