Aug 20, 2025

Loretta Snider, PE has earned the Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing sustainable and resilient civil infrastructure. She is one of a small group of professionals who have achieved this designation (1/37 in the State of Ohio).

Developed by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) in collaboration with the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, Envision is a sustainability framework and rating system for civil infrastructure. The American Public Works Association (APWA), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) founded ISI to provide tools like Envision that help agencies, consultants, and contractors deliver infrastructure that takes on climate change, addresses public health needs, supports environmental justice, creates jobs, and promotes economic recovery.

To date, Envision has been successfully applied to more than 160 infrastructure projects, representing over $237 billion in infrastructure development. Envision supports better project planning, design, and delivery by advancing environmental justice and social equity, supporting communities in achieving carbon neutrality, improving stakeholder engagement and inter-agency collaboration, and delivering fiscally responsible, resource-efficient infrastructure.

With this certification, Loretta joins a growing network of professionals dedicated to creating sustainable, equitable, and resilient infrastructure.
