Karpinski Engineering Establishes Cincinnati Office to Support Growing Regional Work
Feb 03, 2026
Karpinski Engineering has opened a new office in Cincinnati, formalizing a presence in a region where the firm has been actively serving clients for several years. The office builds on Karpinski’s strong Columbus footprint and reflects steady growth in Southwest Ohio driven by ongoing client relationships and expanding project work.
For more than 40 years, Karpinski Engineering has partnered with clients to design environments that support people and communities. Known for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, the firm also provides technology design, specialty fire protection engineering, civil engineering, and energy, sustainability, and commissioning services. Today, Karpinski employs more than 130 professionals across six regional offices.
The decision to establish a physical office in Cincinnati is rooted in active work on several key regional projects, including the FC Cincinnati West End Mixed-Use Development adjacent to TQL Stadium. Planned as a world-class district and community hub, the approximately eight-acre development is expected to include a hotel, residential units, office space, retail, restaurants, entertainment venues, and a public plaza. Karpinski Engineering is providing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for the hotel and entertainment portions of the project, including a 13-story hotel tower and associated public and support spaces.
Karpinski is also providing commissioning services for Xavier University’s new College of Osteopathic Medicine facility, scheduled to welcome its inaugural class in 2027. The building will serve as a centralized hub for classrooms, laboratories, faculty and administrative offices, and student support spaces. Karpinski’s commissioning role includes coordinating and executing system testing, verifying performance against the contract documents, and supporting long-term building operation through building automation system monitoring, functional performance testing, and ongoing performance reviews.

The expansion into Cincinnati is a strategic move driven by ongoing work in the area and long-standing client relationships. Principal Joe Hofstetter notes that growth in Southwest Ohio aligns with the firm’s relationship-focused approach. “We are proud to have a presence in Southwest Ohio. This is part of a more than decade-long trend of growth for Karpinski Engineering, and growth in this region feels like a natural fit for us.”
The Cincinnati office is led by engineers Adam Wolf and Chuck Turner, both of whom have been with Karpinski for several years. Wolf designs HVAC and plumbing systems with a focus on corporate offices and educational projects, emphasizing practical solutions tailored to each project’s needs. Turner brings decades of construction management and construction representative experience across corporate, education, and healthcare projects. Together, they are responsible for cultivating the office’s culture and ensuring that the level of service clients expect from Karpinski is consistently delivered across all projects in the region.
The new location strengthens Karpinski Engineering’s ability to serve clients locally while staying closely connected to the firm’s broader technical resources and collaborative culture.
