With the support of City residents, who voted in favor of a parks and recreation tax, the City of Westerville expanded and renovated its Community Center. The project adds 62,000 SF and new programming opportunities to the existing facility.
New spaces include a fitness area, a gymnasium, an adventure gym, a 3-lane warm water therapy pool, an esports area, a demonstration kitchen, and a multipurpose room. The project also updated the main entrance, locker rooms, teen and children’s spaces, leisure pool, and parking lot.
New HVAC systems to serve the expansion, while the electrical distribution was upgraded and extended, and new lighting was selected in collaboration with the architect. Plumbing elements included locker room updates and high efficiency domestic hot water heaters.
