Strong Start for KE’s 2014 Harvest for Hunger Campaign

Yesterday, Karpinski Engineering officially launched our annual campaign for Harvest for Hunger and Operation Feed.

In the Cleveland office, we hosted a kick-off lunch, and in the Columbus office, we hosted an afternoon happy hour.

Thanks to our event sponsors, we’re off to a phenomenal start raising money to feed hungry people in our communities.

These sponsors – our vendors and business partners – have made donations to Harvest for Hunger on behalf of our campaign. Through their generosity, we’ve raised over $4,000 in pledges and donations toward our $5,000 goal.

This is the first time we’ve requested this kind of event sponsorship, and we have been overwhelmed by the positive response. Thank you!

At the Cleveland kick-off, staff and sponsors were joined by Samantha Martin from Harvest for Hunger. She brought a lot of enthusiasm, as well as great information about Harvest for Hunger and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank [link]. One key takeaway: Every $1 we raise provides 4 nutritious meals. The Food Bank has a lot of buying power, which is what allows them to get so much out of just one dollar.

In Columbus, staff and event sponsors socialized, snacked, and learned about Karpinski Engineering’s 2014 Operation Feed campaign and the efforts of the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. Their key takeaway: By leveraging donations and buying power, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank can stretch a $1 donation to distribute over $11 worth of food and grocery products. They serve more than a quarter of a million hungry neighbors in our community.

Here’s the sponsor honor role:

Many thanks also to the restaurants that provided lunch and snacks for our kick-off events:

We are so grateful for your generosity!

Would you like to contribute to Karpinski Engineering's Harvest for Hunger campaign?
